- Mitsubishi Electric establishes Canadian operations under the name Melco Sales Canada Inc.
1983
- Company name changed to Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada Inc.
1987
- Mitsubishi Electric introduces Mr. Slim ductless air conditioner and heat pump technology to Canada.
1991
- Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada Inc. moves into new head office at 4299 14th Avenue in Markham, Ontario
1997
- Mitsubishi Electric first introduces display wall cubes using DLP™ technology.
1998
- Lossnay Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) technology is introduced to Canada.
2001
- Mitsubishi Electric introduces Variable Referigeration Flow (VRF) technology to North America and first system is installed in Canada.
2002
- Mitsubishi Electric and Hitachi establish joint venture in semiconductor industry under the name Renesas Technology Sales.
2004
- Our industry leading Display Wall Systems are introduced to the Canadian market.
- The first Jet Towel High Speed Hand Dryer is sold in Canada.
2008
- Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment installs new cutting edge high definition 17 screen 1080p HD Diamond Vision video scoreboard made by Mitsubishi Electric.
2009
- Mitsubishi Electric introduces the new Zuba-Central whole home ducted heating and cooling technology specifically designed for the Canadian market.
- New branch office opened in Burnaby, British Columbia.
- Mitsubishi Electric celebrates its 30th anniversary in Canada.
2010
- The first high definition outdoor SMD display is installed above the outside entrance of the Scotiabank Arena (formerly the Air Canada Centre) in Toronto. The massive 30' x 50' high definition display, made by Mitsubishi Electric, is the key attraction in Maple Leaf Square.
2013
- The first VRF system operating with Canadian voltage of 575V is introduced by Mitsubishi Electric.
